Women – Don’t Be a Victim – Be Aware! Watch Your Back!

I don’t usually share these warnings people email me, but this does seem valid. Several years ago a man came through my subdivision offering business cards for handyman work and then in one day, half of the houses in our neighborhood (including mine) were robbed.

The police assumed the man was casing houses and seeing who was home and when. I was still a single mom and felt very violated and scared because I lived alone with my daughter. Since then, all of my houses have been like Fort Knox and I keep guns. So if someone does get in…they are leaving in a body bag!

POLICE WARNING! If you are a female, take heed! If you are male and have a significant female in your life who you care about, whether it’s your wife, your girlfriend, your daughter, your sister, your niece, your cousin, your next door neighbor; whomever… pass this along!

Always, “Better safe than sorry!” A man came over and offered his services as a painter to a female putting gas in her car and left his card. She said no, but accepted his card out of courtesy and got in her car. The man then got into a car driven by another gentleman.

As the lady left the service station, she saw the men following her out of the station at the same time. Almost immediately, she started to feel dizzy and could not catch her breath. She tried to open the window and realized that the odor was on her hand; the same hand which accepted the card from the gentleman at the gas station.

She then noticed the men were immediately behind her and she felt she needed to do something at that moment. She drove into the first driveway and began to honk her horn repeatedly to ask for help. The men drove away but the lady still felt pretty bad for several minutes after she could finally catch her breath.

Apparently, there was a substance on the card that could have seriously injured her. This drug is called ‘BURUNDANGA’ and it is used by people who wish to incapacitate a victim in order to steal from or take advantage of them. This drug is four times more dangerous than the date rape drug and is transferable on simple cards.

So take heed and make sure you don’t accept cards at any given time you are alone or from someone on the streets. This applies to those making house calls and slipping you a card when they offer their services.

Ladies, I always say better safe than sorry and this does seem like something that could be happening in our crazy world.

Don’t allow yourself to become a victim if at all possible!

  • Be aware of your surroundings.
  • Carry mace, a stun gun or a gun.
  • Be cautious when getting IN your car. Look for vans and other cars parked near yours with people in them.
  • Don’t park in poorly lit areas.

JUST BE AWARE. Most men looking to rape a woman are looking for an easier target which is why they grab women with pony tails, shirts, hands full of groceries, women jogging with headsets in…easier to grab. Or they drug them because they can’t put up a fight when they are passed out!

My philosophy is to go down fighting. I know in the actual moment many women freeze and just try to get through it so they can live, others fight and get killed, so many different thoughts must go through your mind. I have played a video in my head many times and would like to think I would be able to put up enough of a fight that the person would leave me alone.

I pray I am never faced with the situation and that you aren’t either so let’s all help educate each other and try to never be a victim!

If you have ever been in this situation, I pray deeply for you and your healing. Being victimized never goes away!
